Treasure Hunt already sells competitive mining chaos — up to about twenty players racing shifting mines for loot, daily challenges, and upgrades. Now the soft flex arrives: watch a Minecraft stream for a few minutes, claim a pet companion, and walk back into the dig looking slightly more ridiculous. I love it. Low effort, high brag.
The window and the pets
- Challenge runs Sept 4, 2026 12:00am PT through Sept 13, 2026 11:59pm PT
- TikTok: watch any Game Reward–enabled Minecraft livestream ≥3 minutes live → Aqua Cool Fish
- Twitch: watch any Partner/Affiliate Minecraft-category stream ≥5 minutes live → Amethyst Drone
- Platform hands you a redemption code once watch time clears
- Redeem via Microsoft account and finish claiming before the Sept 13 cutoff
- Needs Minecraft: Bedrock Edition; one of each pet per person/Microsoft account
Newcomers get the same path as veterans — you do not need a Treasure Hunt résumé. You do need the right kind of stream. Random Minecraft clips will not count; Game Reward TikToks and Partner/Affiliate Twitch channels are the gates.
Failure modes people will invent by day three
- Watching a VOD and wondering why no code appears
- Redeeming on the wrong Microsoft account, then blaming Bedrock
- Letting the code sit until after 11:59pm PT on the 13th
- Assuming Java clients can claim the pets
- Sharing codes like party favors (they will not stretch)
How I’d actually claim both
- Sign into Bedrock on the Microsoft account you live in
- Open a verified TikTok Game Reward Minecraft live and park for three clean minutes
- Same night: five minutes on a Twitch Partner/Affiliate Minecraft stream
- Redeem both codes immediately — do not “do it tomorrow”
- Hop into Treasure Hunt’s server tab and show off before the meta moves on
Treat stream rules as non-negotiable and the pets as limited-run dig buddies, not eternal entitlements. The challenge is a bridge between spectator culture and the mines — watch, redeem, dig. Miss the window and you missed the joke.
Why this flex works
Treasure Hunt already asks for attention span in the mines. The watch challenge hijacks the attention you were going to spend on someone else’s stream anyway and turns it into a dig buddy. That is clever event design: low friction, visible reward, hard calendar edge.
Queue a bright adventure mix while the timer runs, then jump straight back into the server tab. Do not open a second browser tab “just to check something” and lose the live requirement. Live means live. The Aqua Cool Fish and Amethyst Drone are fashion for the dig — wear them loud before the meta moves on.
Three minutes on TikTok, five on Twitch, zero excuses after the 13th — that is the whole pet route.
