Minecraft 26.3 Pre-Release 2
Official source by Java Team ·

Minecraft Java 26.3 Pre-Release 2 lands as a second tester build in the same week. Once a version hits pre-release, Mojang stops the usual snapshot cadence and spends more time hunting bugs before a wider drop—this package is that bug-spray round.
Player-facing UI work is light but useful for anyone typing with an input method editor: the custom rendering of IME candidates is removed so candidate boxes behave more like the system expects. Under the hood, the data pack version moves to 120.0, and a structure tag is renamed from on_abandoned_camp_windswept to on_abandoned_camp_windswept_forest to match the full biome name.
The fixed-bug list is the real headline. Multiplayer visibility gets a lot of love—block breaking particles and sounds, growth particles, powder-snow movement particles, and flower-feeding particles on brown mooshrooms should show correctly to other players again. Sculk sensors finally notice ice and snow melting, and cave biomes stop warping relief on exploration maps.
Boat-and-pig chaos with happy ghasts gets desync fixes, including carrot-on-a-stick rides. Windowing and rendering bugs on Windows get attention too: taskbar icons, exclusive fullscreen stacking, Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 glitches, invisible cursors under OpenGL fullscreen, emoji-panel freezes, and resource-pack reloads that used to tear the world apart.
Worldgen and water polish round out the notes: ruined portals should no longer eat end portal frames, kelp and seagrass stop floating oddly on submerged shipwrecks, and underwater fog or water overlays behave better when your head is inside a block. Spectator loot-chest clicks and villager trades completed without payment after combat also get cleaned up.
Install by enabling snapshots in the launcher Installations tab, keep backups (pre-releases can still corrupt worlds), grab the cross-platform server jar if you host, and report leftovers on the official tracker. Full bug IDs and feedback links stay on Minecraft.net.

Session vibe
Pre-release two is bug-spray night: second build in a week, long fix list, short patience for broken fullscreen. Spin a disposable Java world, poke multiplayer particles and boat rides, and keep a low cave loop under the bug tracker tabs.
Player checklist
- Back up or clone any world you care about before enabling this pre-release in the launcher.
- Reproduce one multiplayer particle or fullscreen issue from the notes and file a clean report if it still fails.
- Keep your main survival folder untouched—pre-releases are for throwaway labs, not permanent homes.
Listen while you play
Suggested vibe: soft dripstone rain under muted redstone ticks — tester focus without boss-fight stress.
