Minecraft 26.3 Snapshot 7
Official source by Java Team ·

26.3 Snapshot 7 is the Java build that brings the last major Drop 3 features into testing: concrete stairs and slabs in every color, plus new explorer maps tucked into abandoned camps.
Camp maps can point to other abandoned camps in biomes such as bamboo jungle, cherry grove, birch forest, dappled forest, flower forest, pale garden, swamp, and windswept forest. Separate maps can also lead to structures like Ancient Cities, Trial Chambers, Mineshafts, Desert and Jungle Pyramids, Warm Ocean Ruins, and Woodland Mansions.
Explorer maps become their own item types with clearer icons instead of renamed filled maps. They can still be cloned, but zooming them out is restricted; only maps in the extendable maps tag can be expanded with paper.
Other changes include cushions no longer blocking vibrations when placed or broken, camp loot table tweaks, and map player icons that always show facing direction. Realms also gains support for more future server regions.
Snapshots are temporary Java test builds. Turn them on in the Minecraft Launcher under Installations, keep backups, and run a separate world folder so a bad save cannot eat your main survival progress.
Expect balance and technical details to keep moving in later snapshots. If camp maps, concrete shapes, or map items behave oddly, report them on the issue tracker so the finished drop can land cleaner.

Session vibe
Snapshot 7 is a concrete-and-maps polish night: walk the new surfaces, poke map behavior, and see whether your usual build habits still feel right. Keep the main survival folder closed, use a fresh Java test world, and let a quiet workshop mix keep the tinkering calm. Write down what looks production-ready versus what still feels temporary.
Player checklist
- Build a small concrete palette wall and a map wall on the same seed so you can compare lighting and color in one glance.
- Back up or ignore important worlds before enabling Snapshot 7 in the launcher.
- Screenshot map edge cases with coordinates — cartography quirks are hard to describe later.
Listen while you play
Suggested vibe: soft workshop ambience with distant rain — builder-lab calm while you stress concrete and maps.
