Herschel Backpack Trials add-on
Official source by Cristina Anderca ·

The free Herschel Backpack Trials add-on on Minecraft Marketplace is aimed at every player who fills inventory in the first half hour and then stares sadly at yet another stack of dirt. It adds a wearable backpack you upgrade by completing collection trials, so carrying capacity becomes a progression system instead of a permanent cheat chest.
You start with 24 slots. Each finished trial unlocks another 24, climbing toward a fully upgraded pack with 288 slots—enough room for an absurd number of fully stacked items if you actually earn the space. Trials ask you to gather and store specific blocks and items in the backpack. Solo works, but friends speed the grind and upgrade their own packs at the same time.
Later upgrades push the backpack past pure storage. With the right special items, it can sort, deposit, repair, and even smelt on the move, so you spend less time planting furnaces mid-mine and more time keeping a pickaxe healthy while you dig. It’s still Minecraft inventory management—just with a branded bag doing more of the chores.
The crossover isn’t only digital. Herschel’s real-world Minecraft collection includes dozens of backpacks inspired by the three dimensions for adults and iconic mobs for younger explorers, sold via Herschel and select retailers. There was also a giveaway for the Orange Block Little America Cube Backpack that inspired the add-on. Whether you care about IRL gear or not, the Marketplace pack itself is free for Bedrock players who want fewer abandoned chests of “I’ll come back for this later.”

Session vibe
Herschel Backpack Trials is style-meets-challenge: look good, run a trial loop, and see if the pack belongs in your regular loadout. Preview the add-on in Creative with a stylish city-walk mix, then try one short trial run before installing it on a long-term world. Marketplace crossovers are more fun when music matches the flair.
Player checklist
- Check platform and Minecoin cost once before you fall in love with the backpack cosmetics.
- Run a single trial course in Creative to learn the add-on’s rules without burning a Survival evening.
- Disable conflicting inventory or armor add-ons if loadouts start fighting each other.
Listen while you play
Suggested vibe: sleek urban block ambience — clean drums and soft neon warmth for trial runs.
